Wedding Invitations: What To Say Where

Your wedding invitations and your wedding website work together. One is a beautiful, more formal (even if your wedding is informal) piece of memorabilia extending the invitation to your wedding, and the other is a tool to convey the rest of the information that couldn't possibly fit on your paper invite.

Your invitations and your website both answer different questions that your guests might have. Here are the top questions to answer and where to do that.

1. Where/when is the ceremony/reception? INVITATION + WEBSITE

2. When should I RSVP by?

3. What is the dress code?

WEBSITE (it can go on your invitation too but it isn't necessary)

4. Have you made block reservations at a hotel?

5. Where do I park at the ceremony/reception?

6. Can I bring a plus one?

INVITATION (plus ones should be indicated on the outer envelope)

7. Can I bring my children?

INVITATION (indicated on the outer envelope, ex. "Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Julia & Leo Smith")

8. What are the menu options at the reception?

WEBSITE (may also be indicated on the RSVP card if there are options)

9. Where are you registered?

WEBSITE (only!)

10. Can I post pictures from the wedding on social media?

If you have any further questions, you can always get ahold of me by email. I look forward to talking to you about your wedding invitations!
